Wild Winds in Edmonton: How Nature Gave There Maternity Photos a Wild Twist

Spring in Edmonton is a spectacular time of year. Even if it is a little late compared to the rest of the world, it's filled with vibrant colours and fresh energy. However, this season has been anything but ordinary. The winds have been wild, fierce, and downright dramatic. It meant our first attempt at this maternity photo session had to be rescheduled simply because those winds were just too intense!

Rescheduling because of weather is unfortunately just a natural part of outdoor photography, and as a photographer, adapting to the elements is crucial. I also educate client's that I haven't yet perfected my weather-controlling superpowers and sometimes we need to be flexible and reschedule. Thankfully I also have the best client's who understand.

Take two of these Edmonton Maternity photos was perfect! It started with the most perfect golden light and finished with just enough of the wind showing up. We embraced the wind and ended up with some EPIC memories! So here’s to the wild winds of spring and the captivating moments they gifted us. Who knows what exciting adventures await as we head into the busy summer season. But I know that one things is for sure...I cannot wait to photograph this baby soon!
